Katie and I knocked out two bucket list hikes in one trip, Chesler Park in Canyonlands and Fiery Furnace in Arches. Easily one of my favorite trips we’ve ever done. Here are some of the photos.

We stayed in a perfect little cabin on highway 211, called Marie's Place. Strongly recommend.

Chesler Park loop has two standout features in addition to the Needles: the Joint Trail (one of the most impressive and varied slots I've ever done) and the meadow surrounding the Chesler Park formation. Look for the little hiker on the trail in the bottom right photo to get a sense of scale.

Fiery Furnace in Arches National Park requires a permit to hike it, which you need to get on the website a week in advance, right at 8am. You have to watch a training video, in part so you learn how to not get lost down in there. My favorite part of this hike were all the secret features hiding just past the dead end signs.
